A lot of less relevant content after Google Penguin

Google PenguinIt was more than one month after the first version of Google Penguin launched on April 24th and one week after Google Penguin 1.1 rolled out. I have kept updating Google Penguin information since that time and monitoring my website. It seem Google have done well their job by the news I read from some SEO Experts. But on Google Vietnam (google.com.vn) with Vietnamese language search, I keep being seen a lot of less relevant content appear on SERP(s).

On April 19th, my company website, the website that considered having useful and good content and well done on SEO by other webmasters and SEOs in Vietnam, has been dropped ranking and lost 50% traffic. Google announced they fixed the issue Classfied for parked domain. But my website has not been recovered. There are some other good ones are also in same situation, and some of poor content website increased ranking. It made a many webmasters in Vietnam surprised and confused. Message for the future

Message for the future, the papers and speech written by Mr. Anh Nguyen Vu Tuan (Nguyễn Vũ Tuấn Anh in Vietnamese), director of CRPAOA. This speech have been spoken in the 30th anniversary of UNESCO and the 8th WFUCA world congress in Viet Nam and made many scholars interested in.

This papers show that Yin and Yang, Five Elements theory (thuyết Âm Dương Ngũ Hành) is an unified theory that the humankind is looking for.

My company website traffic dropped 50% because of Google Penguin update?

On April 18th, I had checked ranking of my company website and see that most of the keywords have dropped ranking. It made me very surprised, there were some keywords my website stayed at top 1 for years. And then, I tried to figure out the problem.

Firstly, I browsed my Google Plus and I saw Matt Cutts had announced about Google Classified for parked domain bug.

I saw a recent post where several sites were asking about their search rankings. The short explanation is that it turns out that our classifier for parked domains was reading from a couple files which mistakenly were empty. As a result, we classified some sites as parked when they weren’t.

I apologize for this; it looks like the issue is fixed now, and we’ll look into how to prevent this from happening again.

Adding Google Adsense code again to my Vietnamese blog

Since last week, I have checked my Google Adsense account and see that the click and my earning increased from the ads code I placed on website khoahocviet.org. So, I wondered if the Google Adsense working well for Vietnamese language. That’s why I have just placed the code again on my Vietnamese blog.

The last time I did it on my Vietnamese blog was 4 months ago but the Google Adsense didn’t work well, then I  removed it. In next weeks, I will try to monitor how the Adsense work. 2012 predictions: The map generated by Huyen Khong Lac Viet

2012 Predictions: Katla volcano may erupt and predictions from CRPAOA

On Jan 5th, in the post 2012 is the end of the world? I said that I would translate the predictions for 2012 from Vietnamese to English by CRPAOA. But I didn’t have much time to do that yet. Today, I will have my first posts for 2012 predictions series.

On the second post from 2012 predictions posted on CRPAOA Community (of course, it’s in Vietnamese), Mr. Thien Su have been posted about the news that Katla vocalno may erupt and leave his predictions about disaster. The following is the quote from his prediction:

Google Adsense disappear on Vietnamese website?

Some months ago, I have registered Google Adsense account and I see that Google approved my account with Vietnamese website. Google hadn’t approve for Vietnamese website before because of cheat.

For some of first days, I got about $1/day for my website with about 5000 visits and more than 10.000 pageviews per day. But after that, the money I have earned keep decreasing and I got about $3/months. O.o

And until now I have just got $0/day, it’s more than 2 week already. I have searched a lot on the Internet and know that Google Adsense still not support for Vietnamese yet. Is that correct? Because that information was too long ago and I haven’t got any newer information about this. Last month, there were a lot of pages display ads but now it look like no ads appear on my website completely.

I didn’t expect to get much money from this, I just try it to experience. I have checked my website and no issue. I’m very confuse and read a lot of help but nothing satisfy my question. Maybe I need more time and hope Google will support well for Vietnamese soon.

One week after I launched my personal blog in English

The time go seem so fast to me, it has been one week already after I launched my personal blog in English. I haven’t had much time to write for this blog and haven’t done much for it. Because I had spent much time to write for my Vietnamese blog and for my company’s website.

After a day since I launched it, I have just posted some articles from CRPAOA in English. I said that I would translate to English for 2012 Predictions in the post 2012 is the end of the world? but I haven’t had time to do that. I hope I can do that in next some days.

I have posted my articles to Digg.com but I don’t have many connections in it and submit my blog to DMOZ.org and authorize my blog on Technorati. Actually, because of my English is not really good and i’m a little confuse in how to build my blog in English. I don’t know which subject I should target.

The Lunar New Year is coming here so we are going to have break for it. Maybe I will have time to think and write for this English blog.

My site ranking dropped, has Google Panda just been rolled out?

After I posted the article Get back to top 5 with keywords thiet ke web, my website was dropped the ranking to 7 and then 9 in very short time in 6th Jan. I thought that maybe Google Panda had been just rolled out. From my experience about Google Panda, it’s usually rolled out in Friday (US time).

Not only my website dropped with that keywords, but also there were many website’s ranking changed. Then I went to SERoundTable.com to see if Barry Schwartz has any update about Google Panda. And I saw the article My Site’s Ranking Dropped, It’s Google Panda.

Currently, I haven’t found any source to confirm about update information from Google. But it seem there are many people got same problem in that period.

On twitter.com, Matt Cutts said he was thinking about doing “digital break”, so he wouldn’t tweet for a week. The latest tweet from him on twitter is:

I’m thinking about doing a “digital break” where I don’t tweet for a week. So if you see me not tweeting, that’s why.

Hence, we might need some day to get confirmed after he will come back.

Google News: Big improvement with 30 search quality highlights in December

Now, it’s over 2:00 AM here and it’s hard for me to sleep. I have tried to go to bed but waked up and getting around on the Internet. From my Google+ stream, Matt Cutts have just share the news 30 search quality highlights (with codenames!): December. It’s really a big improvement!

One of the important things in this search quality improvement to me is Better spell correction in Vietnamese. Since the last year, it seem that Google paid more attention to Google Vietnam. It make me really happy and I expected for long time ago. In my country, the search result page look really messed up because of spammy and I hate that.
